...Hitler was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1939 on the basis of the peaceful resolution of the Sudetenland Crisis; but the nomination was rejected by the Nobel Prize Committee. This all took place before Hitler started the World War II. In addition to never winning, Hitler forbade any German to accept any Nobel Prize. When the Nobel Committee announced that the 1935 Peace Prize had been awarded to German journalist Carl Von Ossietzky, The German Government forbade him to accept the award.
