Hmm, fascinating Im sure: thought Id share this here whilst fresh on my mind, though dont suppose it will surprise anyone). Having just returned from a few days away, I noticed peculiar behaviour with my bank balance, where although I checked at an ATM at my away location, yesterday afternoon, checking again- afternoon today (weds 27th), there is about £60 less than figure shown yesterday - although I neither withdrew any cash, nor spent on my card between the two ATM visits, as I had not spent my holiday cash. That seems odd. I guess the long and short of it is that I probably spent too much, in my enjoyment of getting out of town. YET thats not really my main concern here. So I duly had a word with the bank teller just to check what is supposed to happen and he confirmed that the balance SHOULD change at the moment of transaction (whether it be cash withdrawl or card-spend. Either way, either it did not in this case, or some one or some thing unknown to me has control over what appears on an ATM screen when I enter my bank card into an ATM.
