Hmmmm... Jellof rice and chicken is almost ready o, well, not in my house, in my besties house. I stood around and constituted a righteous nuisance of myself until I was assured a cooler of rice and chicken is headed my way and then I came home to monitor the progress with my nose. Almost ready. Good thing is there is no overwhelming stench of garlic, curry and/or thyme in the air so it is safe to assume we will enjoy the meal. Why do I say so? Well, on the food group, someone asks for advice on how to mask the stench of her rotting chicken (rotting not yet full blown decomposing rotten). There had been no light for two days, itwas beginning to change color and the smell, even she could not stand the smell, but guests were coming, food must be served and the chicken could not be thrown away... It was almost unanimous, the suggestion to pre boil, then garlic, curry and thyme da heck out of the bird. Oh, and then fry it dry, just to mask the state a little better. I had a sneaky feeling my suggestion to spray it in cheap perfume would not be well appreciated by the natives and so I held back my valuable contribution So... if you walk into a house where you have been invited for lunch today and are hit by an overpowering stench of garlic, curry and/or thyme then, tag, you are IT.
