Hoe zit het nu met die gifgasaanval in Syrië? Over de datum en de plaats is iedereen het eens. Het vond plaats op woensdag 21 augustus j.l. in Ghouta, een voorstad van de Syrische hoofdstad Damascus. De schattingen van het aantal dodelijke slachtoffers lopen uiteen van 322 tot 1729. Wat er precies is gebeurd, dat is nog steeds niet duidelijk. De neprebellen beweerden onmiddellijk dat het zou gaan om een gifgasaanval door het Syrische leger. De propagandamedia (ook wel bekend als de mainstream media) nam deze beschuldiging gelijk over, maar durfde nog net niet te beweren dat het ook echt waar was (al doen ze inmiddels wel alsof het zo moet zijn geweest). In de vrije media kwamen echter al vrij snel berichten over een valse aanval, opgezet door enkele mannen die Russisch spraken (waarschijnlijk in opdracht van de CIA). De kernvraag gaat hier uiteraard (net als altijd) over belangen. Wie heeft er belang bij een eventuele gifgasaanval? Welk belang zou de Syrische president Bashar al-Assad daarbij hebben? Ik zou het niet weten. Het belang van oorlogszuchtige landen als de VS en Groot-Brittannië bij een dergelijk gifgasaanval is overduidelijk. Het biedt een aanleiding om Syrië binnen te vallen. Bovendien is deze manier van werken voor deze landen inmiddels standaard geworden: organiseer zelf een False-Flag-aanslag, beschuldig de ‘vijand’ hiervan, en val daarom vervolgens deze ‘vijand’ aan. Het heeft er inmiddels alle schijn van dat deze meest agressieve landen van deze planeet compleet ongegrond weer een soevereine natie zullen gaan binnenvallen (zoals eerder Afghanistan, Irak en Libië). Bashar al-Assad heeft laten weten dat dit misschien wel eens heel anders kan gaan lopen dan de leiders van deze oorlogszieke landen hopen. All this in the name of humanitarian principles and allegedly to defend the Syrian population. Anybody can see that Syria will probably undergo the same fate as Serbia, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya: the infrastructure will be completely destroyed, the social fabric blown to smithereens, the treasures looted, tens of thousands of civilians will be slaughtered, millions more will be turned into refugees and forced to find safety abroad. The US and its NATO clients will be perpetrating once again the mother of all war crimes: the unprovoked attack on a peaceful nation. Incidentally, the crime is already being committed by the US and NATO through their financing and arming of the terrorists and bandits ravaging your country since 2011. Although the nation of which we carry a passport, the Netherlands, is generally regarded as a democracy, we as citizens have no power to stop the government from being an accomplice to the crime about to be perpetrated. As a matter of fact, by virtue of our citizenship, all Dutch citizens are about to made accomplices of yet another war crime, after 1999 (Serbia), Afghanistan (2001), Iraq (2003) and Libya (2011). Unfortunately, we are just as powerless today to prevent the Dutch government from attacking Syria, as peace loving German citizens were to prevent Hitler from invading Poland in 1939. We sincerely regret when the warlike countries led by the US and the UK will openly start to attach your country. It truly burdens our conscience.
