· Hold on And Bin IT, make it a H.A.B.IT, is an anti-littering programme adopted by Nee Soon South Constituency since October 2012, which aims to change people’s mindset, as most believe that there will be cleaners who would pick up after them. · We hope to promote the simple habit of holding on to one’s trash and only disposing it at a proper refuse bin, instead of littering. · Having more cleaners and increasing the frequency of cleaning is not the solution, as this only creates a cleaned city, not a clean city. · The CWO exercise intends to heighten the awareness of Nee Soon South constituents on the serious consequences of littering and a reminder to them not to litter. · It is the bad habit of litter-bugs that needs to be changed in order to stop such anti-social acts, which inconveniences others and causes a dirty environment. · We hope that everyone will do their part to keep the environment clean as this environment is where we stay, work, play and live in. Without each and every one’s little bit of contribution, how can we maintain a clean and green environment for all of us to live and enjoy in?
