Holiday Shoe-Raiser a Stomping Success 205 pairs of shoes were donated during this weeks shoe raiser. Sixth graders won the elementary school competition by turning in 75 pairs of shoes. Braden Drews won the secondary competition, turning in 19 pairs. We have been collaborating with ShoeBox Recycling to recycle shoes for two years. This program doesnt just keep shoes out of landfills. People all over the globe depend on second hand shoes: So they can attend school. To protect against bacteria born illnesses. For self esteem. For job creation. Anyone can donate shoes, any time. Shoe-raising competitions are held periodically to raise awareness of the program. Contact Ms. Priske, room 311.
