Holly Cow!!! I had a scare today!!! The people that deal with my blood disorder called for my test results, which Im finally at a therapeutic level. Yeah, now that i have to start getting blood work every 3 days instead of once a week. Anyway she read off my other results and she had me freaking out! said my GFR (kidney levels) were high. So, I called the dr after freaking to steph and some friends. He said it was ok. I looked it up and normal is 90-120 mine is 85 which means I have some kidney damage, but not too bad. I think if there isnt a problem, dont freak your patients out....Just sayin!! I already knew I had some kidney damage, from a suicide attempt in 2008. Which then they had steph on stand by for a kidney. I thought the test was that bad again. Not just a little off. I have so much on my mind right now with this surgery and every thing else I dont need more things to worry about or freak out about. As the surgery gets closer I am more and more worried about getting another P.E. (Pulmonary Embolism or Blood clot in the lungs or heart) Which I am High risk for. I wasnt too worried about it, until Stephanie Taylor got a blood clot after her surgeries. Now I know even on the lovanox, it can happen. Hell, I was freaking out about talking to my son before I go. Just because I want him to know I love him just in case. Also, to make sure he takes care of Brie! Now, I know I have God on my side, but Dr. Clay died within seconds from a blood clot, and the same can happen to me, but I am more high risk, because I have already had blood clots in my body and lungs. I have enough to worry about without a nurse telling me my kidneys are failing too. Good grief If there isnt a need to worry dont tell your patient about it!!!!
