Hollywood stars Seth Rogen and Michael Moore have been deriding our servicemen and women as invaders and occupiers of Iraq. They and other liberals at The New Republic are offended by the idea our country would defend itself after the shock of 9/11 -- a problem of the broader Middle East. Rogen compared scenes of the movie #AmericanSniper, in which famous Navy sniper Chris Kyle defends his fellow soldiers and our country against terrorists, to Nazi propaganda. Moore is walking back comments hes made hundreds of times: The United States was an illegal invader of Saddam Husseins Iraq, a utopia that meant us no harm. Thats ridiculous, as is Rogens comparison. American troops, including snipers, liberated Europe from the Nazis. These Hollywood yokels should liberate themselves from their reflexive anti-Americanism and follow the proud example of United States troops with whom I served.
