Holy Comforter is nearly ready to begin training its first group - TopicsExpress

Holy Comforter is nearly ready to begin training its first group of Stephen Ministers. Stephen Ministers will spend 50 hours training to become pastoral caregivers for people who are experiencing difficult times in their lives. Do you know someone at Holy Comforter who has lost a loved one, who is taking care of a chronically ill family-member, who has recently given birth without family as support, who is in the process of a separation or a divorce, or who has recently lost his or her job? Stephen Ministers will be trained and supported in important caregiving skills as they help those in need. If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister, please pick up an application form available now at the back of the church or in the church office. The application deadline is December 15th and selected Stephen Ministers will begin their training the weekend of January 9th or 16th. If you have any questions about the program, please contact our Stephen Leaders Carol Thornell (cthornell2001@yahoo) or Rene Burgess (burgessrene@gmail). More information about the Stephen Ministry program can be found by clicking on the website below. Faithfully and fondly, Adam+
