Holy Name Convent’s biannual Sports Day would not be complete - TopicsExpress

Holy Name Convent’s biannual Sports Day would not be complete without the much anticipated March Past competition. The four houses – St. Dominic’s, St. Catherine’s, St. Albert’s and St. Rose’s trained with their teachers and captains for a little over one week, and were even honoured to have sergeants from the Trinidad and Tobago Army assist them with the logistics. The four houses worked tirelessly to perfect their steady and rhythmic marches. They portrayed their creativity through inventive formations and eyes-rights. A special treat for the students and everyone in attendance was the march music which was supplied by the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service. As per usual, the judge’s decision is final and the placement of houses is as follows: 1) St. Dominic’s 2) St. Catherine’s 3) St. Albert’s 4) St. Rose’s Congratulations to all students for the hard work and determination they put into the success of their houses. Marching has taught the girls discipline and in true Holy Name Convent fashion, they had fun while at it. --written by Cassia Caruth
