Holy season...recognition of forgiveness, of sacrifice, of living the life that brings us closer to our creator....today is palm Sunday, tomorrow after the sun sets begins Pesach and the feast of unleavened bread and next Sunday is Easter... the message that rebirth and overcoming this world is all about sacrifice...that word means to meke holy... sacre...the first part of the word sacrifice is the root that is the same for sacred...sacre.... the last part of the word comes from facere which means to make...isnt it interesting that only through sacrifice for others we progress and become more like our God...only through sacrifice...the ultimate act of selflessness of selfless love do we attain our highest potential. Flies in the face of our social norms of whats in it for me...or that which would make us think we can judge another...instead at this most holy season...let us all love one another through action...and sacrifice...to become more holy.
