Holy smokes, its FRIDAY already! Feels like a Wednesday or Thursday to me. What a nice minor surprise to glance up at the time and date on my computer, and see Fri up there. Weve gone from cold weather to typical southern California winter weather (70s to 80s during the day, and low 50s at night). I hope it holds - too many frosts for days in a row damage my citrus trees considerably. The blood orange is looking peaked (shell be fine) as hell right now, after 5 nights of freezing temps last week. I will probably change where I plant the new lime and the Meyer lemon, to along the block wall on the west side of the property. It gets sun all day there, and the blocks radiate heat back out at night. Whod have ever thought that only 35 miles from Los Angeles, its a whole different climate and area? Rural as can be, and with snow even, now and then. I highly recommend it for folks who prefer a bit of the old days where kids actually play outside without mom hovering over them, and people tend their own yards/gardens and have livestock. Root Cellar. I have a ROOT CELLAR. Thats how different it is, here. And I love it, living in the country while being only a 35 minute drive from Hollywood and Los Angeles. Lucky, lucky me!
