Home Safety tip 1: keep outside doors locked. place a dowel or stick in a sliding window or door track. windows are often much less attended to than doors, so check them throughout the home routinely. 2: Install drapes or blinds on all lower level windows and doors to obscure the visibility of expensive items such as computers, stereos, and televisions. 3: The outgoing message on your answering service should never indicate that your not at home. 4: Cut up cartons for TVs, computers, stereos, etc. reducing the odds of thieves knowing of high value items in the home. 5: Never leave notes on your door for delivery people. 6: Do not post on social media when you will be out of town.
