Anyone who doesn’t already have a Christmas Tree can choose one to cut down & take home. 2.30 – 5pm Crafts & Pot Luck (we will provide Sweet Chili & Rice) 4pm Cookie House opens 5pm Swedish Log in front of the Lodge and hopefully some carols & music if anyone can play an instrument (please bring it along). Craft Ideas: Mice in Walnut Shell Baskets; Lanterns; Nativity Scene with Popsicle sticks; Reindeer hats; Snowflakes with pipe cleaners......... (Ill try to attach some pics......). Plus any other craft ideas you have…….. Cookie House At the Waldorf Christmas Fairs, this is super popular. The Cookie Fairy (Elisha would like to be the cookie fairy) takes the kids in one at a time to a ‘house’ where they get to choose a ‘special cookie’ just for them. It super magical! The walls of the house (room) are hung with fabric and lots of cookies are attached with ribbon and safety pin. The Cookie Fairy says a little rhyme/story about a cookie that is waiting inside just for that child to pick – they need to look and choose carefully and find that special one. We will need lots of special cookies please – at the absolute very least 1 cookie per child (but preferably quite a few more so all the kids get a choice and the last kid into the house doesn’t just get 1 lonesome cookie to look at!!!). The cookies need to be all shapes and sizes and originally decorated WITH a hole at the top and ribbon threaded through the hole with a safety pin on end of the ribbon, so it can be attached to the fabric. It will be much more magical if the kids don’t see any of the cookies beforehand. Wow, thanks Laura Henderson, I think by jove its worked! Info is attached with pics!!!!!
