Home and Family Tuesday’s ~As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh~ The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alayhe wasallam, said: "Recite Surat Al-Baqarah in your houses, for the Satan does not enter a house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is recited." (Sahih al-Jaami). Protecting our homes should be very important to each of us. This hadith gives the Muslim family one way to keep Satan from entering our homes. Spiritual protection a Muslim knows is far superior than a physical security system. We Muslimahs play a vital role when it comes to protecting our homes spiritually. The prayers made in our homes promote a spirit of peace and harmony within it. Our prayers reinforce to our husband and children that Allah Ta’ala is whom we rely on. The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alayhe wasallam, said: "The likeness of a house in which Allah is remembered and the house in which Allah is not remembered is that of the living and the dead, respectively." Today let us each ponder on each of these hadiths whilst we are in our homes today..May our Raab protect each of our homes from the accursed Satan Ameen.
