Home from cooking at the MDA Camp in Leonardtown MD...time to unpack and get to bed. But before I do: Throughout the year, for many years I work many special events, many are close and dear to my heart, But this years camp hit close to home and had a lot more meaning to it. Growing up as a child with Medical issues, I know how many of these children feel because they can not live a normal life like most do....so anytime we can give them a day in the life of a normal everyday kid..I will be there... but recent events in my life have put me in that spot not once a year but almost daily when an amazing and very special lady came into my life and along with her came a special little man who like myself and those kids at the camp cant live a normal life. As I sat at the camp today watching those kids wheel around in their wheel chairs, smiling and laughing, and for one day be a normal kid, I sat there thinking about how lucky I am to have the joy of giving that special little man more of these days then just the one these kids at camp get, how lucky I am to see this amazing little man grow up and spend my days with him and his amazing mom. This year this camp ment alot more to me them in years past and put my life in perspective... I havent had the easiest of days the last 12 months with being sick and recovering? But I can say atleast Im still here, I have an amazing and loving girlfriend & family and have the opportunity to give one special little man more then just one day a year with a smile and a normal day and life of a kid. There are 2 people out there that know who they are and know how much they mean to me and and how much I love them....I can sit here today and proudly say that even with all Ive been through lately and continuing to go through ...That I am right were I need to be, should be, suppose to be and most importantly, Im where I wanna be....With those 2 amazing people.
