Home schooling worries: I am contemplating homeschooling my 5 yr. ASD, SPD. He is currently enrolled in public school (PPCD). I feel he would learn more from one on one attention. His class is 15 kids with a teacher and an asst--most of the time. But they send home notes about him pushing and hurting others--behavior he does not exhibit at home. Recently due to lack of supervision he hurt another student--mildly, but hurt nonetheless. My only concern is his socialization. I dont want to shut out the world by removing him from school, but I am genuinely worried about their ability to keep him and others safe. Any advice from fellow parents would be most helpful. Im struggling!
