Homeless and Need a Place to Live? Funds are available to provide limited assistance for the transitional housing to qualified residents of St. James Parish. Residents must be literally homeless, imminent risk of homeless, fleeing/attempting to flee domestic violence and homeless under other federal statutes. (For example, moved two or more times in the past 60 days; certification of no public housing in last 60 days) To be eligible for the assistance at a minimal you must be employed, provide proof of household income, provide valid documentations of the homeless circumstance and furnish pertinent household documents, no exceptions. Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Income Eligibility Guidelines: Family Size Annual Income Limits 1 - $11,700 6 - $19,400 2 - $13,400 7 - $20,750 3 - $15,050 8 - $22,100 4 - $16,750 5 - $18,100 This program is in accordance to The Homeless Emergency Assistance & Rapid Transition to Housing Act of 2009 (HEARTH Act).
