Homemade Limoncello is finished steeping, its been strained twice and now bottled for holiday gift giving. Recipe... 2-750 ml bottles 100 proof vodka 12 organic lemons, zest only 2 cups sugar 2 cups water Pour one bottle vodka in large glass jar and add zest from lemons. Close tightly and let steep for 2 weeks shaking daily. When vodka is bright yellow, strain thru cheese cloth. Combine sugar and water in saucepan and heat to dissolve sugar. Cool completely. Stir together lemon vodka, extra bottle vodka and simple syrup. Fill sterilized bottles, label and enjoy! Makes about 11 cups.
