Homemade laundry detergent, I made this and love it, may clothes are cleaner then with tide, cut your cost to about 25.00 a year for detergent, I like a fabric softener so I added a cup to each jug, 1/2 bar Fels Naptha soap 1 c. Borax 1c. Washing soda( not baking soda) All can be found in laundry aisle Grate bar of soap in a gallon of water, cook until soap dissolves. Add borax and soda. Bring to boil, mixture will coagulate turn off heat. Add 1 gallon of cold water. Stir well, transfer mixture to jugs. Shake well before each use.( 1/2 cup per load) store in three 1 gallon jugs.
