Homeschooling is flexible. Today we are having a major nature study day as our back yard is ground zero for 2 Chicken Hawks accurately called Coopers Hawks hungry and looking for food. While it is said they only eat birds, there have been enough tales of being seen carrying off a cat that we are on guard for our 2 remaining cats (one disappeared earlier this year shortly after the hawks moved into the neighborhood). These hawks are screaming and swooping across our back yard, sitting in our trees and in general giving us the creeps while we study them this morning. Not a fan of this bird having seen it tear apart its prey on our climbing frame way back in January. Interesting start to our day.
