Homeward bound. To a mountain of work and some big news and bigger plans, which is keeping me in a state of sleeplessness and hyperactivity. Also home to my remaining bird, Newgirl, whose partner, Judy died while I was away. They were so incredibly bonded so Ive been a very sad and worried mamma the last 4 days. Thanks to Tanis for taking care of my kids during this hard time. Newgirl cant be alone, that would be horrible, so Im looking to adopt an older budgie companion for her. Ji Ha and Marie-Elisabeth, know of any lone older birds who would make a good companion for my sweet Newgirl? Im going to miss Judy so much, she had a huge personality and a good sense of humour. The worst part of being away is that sometimes my little friends pass and Im not there for them. Its ... yeah. No words for that...
