Honda agent set for CSKA talks Keisuke Honda’s agent will meet with CSKA Moscow officials on Friday in an effort to secure a move to Milan. The Diavolo have admitted that they are interested in the Japanese international and the player has accepted a switch in principle. However, there is still no agreement between the two clubs given that the San Siro giants don’t want to overpay for a player whose contract expires in December. The midfielder, who joined the Russian side in 2010, would be able to sign for any club in January on a free transfer. Milan are ready to offer €2m, a fee that CSKA consider as too low. It is also understood that the 27-year-old’s sponsors may be willing to help fund a summer switch to Italy given the greater exposure in Serie A. Honda was close to a move to Lazio in the past, but no transfer fee could be agreed between the capital club and the Russians.
