Honduras Tenth Central American Aquaculture Symposium The Tenth Central American Aquaculture Symposium is right around the corner (August 27-29, 2014). The trade show is almost sold out and registration has exceeded expectations. There will not be any official tours, however farms, hatcheries and processing plants will be open for visits during the Symposium, and the organizing committed will help you arrange your visits. The registration fee includes free lunches. Cargill, Gisis and Zeigler (feed companies) have organized special receptions at the Symposium, where they will dispense information on their products—along with cocktails. So far, there has been no evidence of early mortality syndrome (EMS) in Central America, but it is in Mexico, and the Symposium will give the industry a good opportunity to talk about how to prevent it from spreading south.
