Honestly, I am lost for words. In the not so distant past, we lived by the mantra of Tiwala Lang as we leaped to the unknown when we enrolled these kids in Benilde. We werent sure if they could get in, so much more if they can graduate. But now, we are more than sure that our kids can be at par with the best of the bests and perhaps, to some degree, even better. As we slowly begin to say goodbye to our first batch of scholars from Benilde, I know that many more will follow. Qouting one of them, they will be the source of inspiration of those who will trailblaze with them in this journey. Dokyo Alva would be the first in his family to graduate from college. Darelle Fabellar has proven that a kid from Payatas (and from a Blue Eagle Village at that), has what it takes to make it big in Benilde. Roger Gadiane has shown the world that a kid can find courage to believe more in himself. And of course our two ladies, Mikaella Bello and Lojel Suson will become, well for me, the first two diplomats from humble beginnings that will definitely change the diplomatic world. Years ago, I thought my dream for them to bring themselves and their family out of poverty was big enough. Now that I got to know what they can, I can get to dream bigger for all of them because now I know that they definitely can make a big difference in this world and make a future full of hope not only for themselves but for everyone. CONGRATULATIONS DEAREST GRADUATES!!! May you truly become Lasallian Achievers for God and Country! Animo GK SIGA! Animo Benilde! Animo La Salle!!!
