Honestly Im very ashamed of the animal rights community lately. So much judgment, and bullying and hate the very thing we say were here to stop. All the nasty things people are saying about Bindi Irwin a 15 year old girl is the last straw. Sure people can disagree with what shes doing, but shes 15 and Im sure most of us didnt have our ethics figured out at that age. If this is how we treat people who we disagree with then its no wonder people give up on humanity, our job isnt to bully and mock people we dont agree with, its to help people see the other side of things, help them see why speciesism is wrong. Everythings not so black and white as we like to paint it, Bindi and her family also do a lot of good for animals, rehabilitating and relocating wildlife, as well as fighting for conservation of land for wildlife, maybe they havent got that captivity is wrong yet but that doesnt make them evil and to them they are doing what they think is best to help preserve wildlife by educating children, and maybe with compassion theyll come to understand but harassing, name calling, and saying nasty things doesnt help. I cant even stand to turn Facebook on right now because of all the hate.
