Honestly i think,youth convert need substitute for some bad habit or else their foundation in the project of salvation may be too feeble!,infact the greatest decision i had to make in my life, before an assurance of my faith was breaking my hiphop and r&b,blues cds and burning the lyrics,including my own composed songs,today people laugh taking it for a joke when i tell em there isnt any american hiphop,r&b,blues etc songs,i cant sing before 2006,well though if i wouldnt exagerate i can sing close to or more than 1500 of these songs offhand even while it was difficult for me to read a page of biology textbk and understand,songs from,r kelly,craig david,lucky dube,majek fashek,dr dre,aaliyah,kelly clarkson,brandy,twista,lionel richie,celine dion,kelvin litu,shaggy,tupac,50cent,ja rule,beyonce,ashanti,fat joe,akon,marc anthony,kelly,nelly,tyrese,phil collins,jagged edge,ludacris,p diddy,notorius big(cris wallace),usher raymond,missy elliot,mary j blige,faith evans,queen latifah,backstreet boyz,boyz 2 men,micheal learns to rock,elton john,sade adu,micheal jackson,sean paul,sisquo,snoop dog,bow wow,lil bow wow,outcast,anastacia,pussycat dolls,madonna,shakira,jay z,wyclef jean,westlife,etc,i cant continue to mention names,the truth is its like there is a spell in their music,if you are not genuinely born again with deep circumcission of the heart by the holyspirit,it will shake ur faith,i understand the power of music during these period,how lust,infatuation and anger can be imparted through this songs even after all the burning and breaking of the cds the song were like something i couldnt do without, it tormented me so much,until i got jim reeves cds,joined the choir,and also get to hear don moen ron kenoly,marymary, women of faith,kirk frank,ron kenoly,esther resonance,etc songs over and over,it would just be as if,whenever i walk the street and hear one of those songs i knew before i should go back to it,its as if i was havin regret breaking d cds,but thank God today,sometimes whenever i still remember some of the lyrics of those songs!,at times when i remember some of them maybe when i go along on the street,the holyspirit would give me the interpretation of some of the wordies of the songs and i have got to understand that many of the songs where actually products of lust,frustration,hate,anger,and lamentation coming from the imagination of the singers,its either many of them were trapped or frustrated somehow,for instance 4,akon songs among is songs i know very well,were lamentation,locked up,lonely,ghetto,i tried.and many more like that and thats what we find in many youth phones which they are listening to,so how would corruption and immorality not increase in the world? THE VERY REASON THE CHURCH MUST PROMOTE GODLY MUSIC IN CHURCHES, I MEAN MUSIC THAT SPEAKS ABOUT,SALVATION,LOVE OF GOD,GODS WRATH ETC.or else it may be very difficult to bring many youth out of the world,LETS THINK ABOUT THIS TOO.
