Honestly, the most obvious difference between Kinshasa and New York City is the sense of fashion. No joke. Im saying that Kinshasa BEATS NYC in its fashion sense. Check out Steffy Katu and her sister Josie doing wedding preparations, and Steffys stunning outfit as she prepares to go to her civil wedding. People are quite casual where we are in NYC, though the folks on Wall Street dress up a bit. But in Kinshasa? Shoes glisten, and the majority of people look like they could be models in Paris. Of course, the infrastructure of Kinshasa is terribly lacking, but that can be fixed. Homes may be humble, but the Congolese emerge from them looking runway-ready. Im telling you, the DR-C is not what you think it is. Get ready to re-imagine it.
