Honey was found under a Honey Wheat Bread truck in September. The gentlemen that found her did not know she had a mass on her underside until she came out to get a drink of water. He called Animal Control and they came and got her. The shelter staff pleaded for help for Honey and 2nd Chance came. With the donations and pledges that were raised, we were able to have the 4 pound mass removed (diagnosed with Breast Cancer). However, along with that came some complications: swelling of the leg, pain getting up and down, and unable to be spayed at the time of the surgery. She has gone to the doctors two more times for checkups and will be going back again for the pain. Her spaying is scheduled for next year (2014) to allow her mass to heal. Her ongoing needs: beds, clothing, food, laundry, medical and special items. Our organization is very small and its hard to do this without help. Thank you so much for Saving Honey, but its still a long road to a full recovery and a forever home. Please help if you can, share if you cant. Thanks!
