Mr. Rajesh Kumar Agnihotri, Counsellor (Economic & Commercial) High Commission of India in Islamabad, Pakistan ************ CONNECT WITH SCCI ************ Become a fan on Facebook >> https://facebook/sheikhupuracci Follow us on Twitter >> Twitter: twitter/sheikhupuracci Get the Magazine >> Dear Sir/Madam, This is regarding consideration of Business visa applications for various business, trade and related events / exhibitions / meetings which are periodically organized in India. While processing such visa applications in the last one year, it has been observed that in some such events, visa applications from concerned associations / chambers / individuals were received by the High Commission in Islamabad quite late, almost near the actual date of event. Due to paucity of time available to process such cases and to receive required clearances from concerned authorities in India, some of visa applications could not be processed on time. Realizing that such business related events / exhibitions / meetings are organized by both the Indian and Pakistani side well in advance, it has been decided that henceforth, visa applications (with required documentations) for such events / exhibitions / meetings must reach High Commission of India in Islamabad at least 45 days prior to commencement of the event. This will enable us to process visa request on time and avoid any last minute embarrassment to the applicants, as also to our office. It is sincerely believed that your office would extend all possible support on this issue and your organization and individual businessmen / entrepreneurs will timely compile all such visa application, with documents, for such events, ensuring their timely submission to the High Commission. It is also requested to kindly inform this to all your members. Looking forward to you continued cooperation, With regards, (Rajesh Kumar Agnihotri) Counsellor (Economic & Commercial) High Commission of India, Islamabad Tel No.051-282-8679 (O) Email : [email protected] Web: india.org.pk
