Honourable Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, FRS, D.Phil., TI, SI HI, NI, On 21 March you wrote an article “it is the time for action…” and hoped that PML-N would do something for HEC revival, and on 22 March CM Punjab wished to establish Punjab HEC which is like a last blow to a falling wall! Mir kya sada hain, bimar huway jis kay sabab Usi attar kay londay sey dawa latay hain It is worth to mention that since you resigned from HEC, none of your efforts so far worked (resignation, going to Supreme Court, blaming politician for taking revenge on fake degree issue, writing articles, speaking to media etc.). If your efforts have not yield any result in last 6-7 years how can you expect something different in few days/months when HEC existence is at stake. Now we need something remarkable to save centralized HEC. Einstein once said: The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them The reality is that HEC survival is at stake; it is unusual situation & requires unusual effort. This extraordinary move in my humble opinion is that you announce that you are willing to serve another one full-term HEC Chairpersonship then may be the centralized HEC saved. If we are willing to do only routine chores then the outcome has been predicted ~150 years before by the great philosopher & poet Nikala chahta hai kaam kya taa’non se tu Ghalib? Tere be-mehar kehne se wo tujh par mehrbaan kyun ho? Teachers, scientist, students thinking that my suggestion carries some weight then please convince Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman to come at the craze & play the captains knock.
