Honoured to be invited to help promote Save the Girl Child campaign by the Terapanth community (a religious sect which follows the ideology of Jain) and meet the 11th Acharya Mahashraman, a saint, yogi, and philosopher who is the supreme head of Terapanth which has millions of followers in the world. All Jain monks (sadhus) and nuns (sadhvis) give up their household lives, take a vow for upliftment of the spiritual soul and travel only via foot. Learned about Acharya Tulsi, the Jain religious leader who was the 9th Acharya and covered more than 70,000 km by foot in India, wrote over a 100 books and founded the Anuvrat Movement based on 5 Jain principles.
