Hon’ble chief minister,Odisha dedicated the city sanitation programme of Bhubaneswar city on 8.06.14, the sanitation work of the BMC will be upgraded gradually using more modern machineries and less human resources. Three private agencies namely Jagruti welfare organization, Ramky & PMR consortium have been engaged in 90% of the wards on outsourcing basis, other wards will be managed by BMC.The agencies will do the sanitation work starting from door to door collection of garbage & dumping it in the dustbins or containers kept in the locality and subsequently the compactors and dumper placers will lift the bins and the containers and bring it to the temporary transfer stations (TTS) at Sainik school .We have installed a weigh bridge for weighing of garbage collected by the agencies from different wards. The agencies will be paid according to the weight of the garbage collected .The main objective of this method of solid wastage management is for clearing of garbage & to keep the city clean .we have also executed an agreement with Essel India Pvt ltd. for treatment of solid wastage management & installation of plant at Bhuasuni for making waste to energy. The citizens of Bhubaneswar are appealed to lodge complaints in the following telephone nos. of the respective agencies in case the garbage of their locality is not collected or cleaned. NAME OF THE AGENCY: TELEPHONE NO: 1.Jagruti welfare organization 9437032580 2.Ramky 9861614079 3.PMR 9437283555 In case the agency does not respond or attend to the complaint, the control room of Health office of BMC (0674-2392894) may be contacted for redress of the complaints .The city dwellers can also inform over phone to the control room of health office of BMC from 6am to 6pm in respect of these wards managed by BMC.I again appeal to the citizens of Bhubaneswar not to throw the garbage here and there & keep it in the dust bins and our sanitation workers will collect in the morning from the houses, so that we can keep our Bhubaneswar a clean city.
