Hooray! Im so happy! They finally came out with an update to my [AMD] display driver. Installed that today, and it fixed all the major issues I was having. CPU is back to normal temperature, fan is quiet again, I can adjust my screen brightness, the sleep option is back (it was missing), and battery use is closer to normal! (Its not as good as it was before the 8.1 update, but at least it lasts over 2 hours now. Ive been lucky to get 1 hour the last couple weeks.)
