Hope all are enjoying this 4th Of July Holiday weekend! I just wanted to say how very excited I am to soon share my new song with you all - It came from a place of love and a spark, a fifteen second moment of creativity, captured and contained, and then nurtured and built upon, and the reason I am sharing this is that it is precisely at that moment where it can go to the memory vault for possible use later, or vanish into the atmosphere. After several years of drawing upon experiences and writing some songs, I feel that the form and emotion, the structure and content is at its best I ever have achieved. Learning from past work, mistakes that were not seen at the time but now known as well as milestones, to form a piece of what I know will be my best work. Surprising myself and hopefully others is fun stuff and always a sort of chance ~ risk, all worthwhile since it is from the heart and drawn from my love I share with Gloria and The Good Shephards blessings...hey, she and I were even singing together and I am encouraging her to sing more (she sings really cute!) We harmonized to YES ~ Close To The Edge and that is a fine flavor for some of the inspiration behind this, as well as their fresh new work, the pure excitement of that, helped push me forward to try to just be me.
