Hope for the Home website Posted by Martin Family on Nov 22, 2014 God is faithful! I want all of you to know that even though this time has come with unexplainable emotions and struggles, God has been so very faithful to our family. Two weeks ago today, our lives took a sharp detour as we heard the diagnosis of Mom’s condition. We felt that our hearts would break within us. Yet, as the people of God begin to pray, God placed us in a bubble (as Mom explains it) of protection and Divine strength. No words can describe the closeness we have felt with the Lord during this time. Many a time, Mom’s hospital room has been transformed into a sanctuary as God has graced us with His presence in an amazing way. We greatly appreciate all the precious friends and family who have shared in these wonderful prayer times. Your sacrifice and effort has blessed us so deeply. Thank you to each of you that have expressed your love and compassion through your texts, calls, comments, emails, cards, visits, meals, gifts, flowers, offerings, and prayers that has bonded us together in heart. We, as the children of such a wonderful lady, have been so privileged to see the tremendous love showering our family thus showing how Momma has touched your life in an extra special way. Our prayer for you is based upon Job 42:10 which says, “God turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends.” We are asking the Lord to turn around the negative situations of your life and bless you in return for praying for us. With the help of the physical therapist, Mom was able to sit up on the side of the bed for around 10 minutes yesterday and around 12 minutes today. Although she still has little to no feeling from the waist down, she was so happy to be upright for this short time. We see this as a great step toward her miracle. We continue to ask for your prayers as we feel our desperate need of wisdom from God for each step of the way. We love and appreciate you much more than words can say. May God bless you! ~Joanna Martin~
