Hope is a beautiful word in the Bible. It is defined as a favorable and confident expectation of good to come. This means that when you hope in the Lord, there is joy in your countenance. Simply put, there is a smile on your face! It is the confident assurance in your heart that, bleak as the circumstances may appear to be, God is working behind the scenes, turning things around for your good! (see Rom 8:28)
