Hope the presidents are still coming to my hometown when I start having kids! Still remember vividly standing in GHS parking lot with Shawn Hendricks in elementary school to watch the Clinton motorcade...although it was just a group of cars my little town was a big deal that day! This was one of my first memories of realizing there was a bigger picture...a bigger world out there beyond my great hometown that I could be a part of. Regardless of your own opinions...when an opportunity comes to even give your child a little glimpse that they can be apart of something bigger and better than where they are currently at...you do what you can to give them that opportunity because no matter how small or irrelevant it may be to you, you never know what it can spark in THEIR mind our what it can do for THEM.
