Hope you are ready for another weekend of going deeper with God in Jesus and the Individual! This weekend at CCOB: Jesus, Martha & Mary Heres a sneak peak to chew on and prep for the message: Martha & Mary are indeed opposites as sisters but to each Jesus had words of either inspiration or exhortation. Serving & sitting in a time of peace; Questioning & weeping in time of great trial and present but fully aware in a time of confusion. Martha was an amazing woman who took initiative, used what she had to serve the Lord, and was not afraid of all the controversy that surrounded Jesus living that close to Jerusalem where they crucified Jesus. But in the end Mary gives us the complete example of: 1) Sitting at His feet: Receiving from Jesus! This reminds us that of all things most valuable that we can give and do for Jesus is to receive from him! He wants after all your heart which will include your time and treasure but one can give time and treasure without the heart. 2) Weeping at His feet: Taking your burdens to the Lord! Give those things you cant even fathom and then we will sense the compassion of the Lord who understands. 3) Adorning His feet: Adorn the feet that went willingly to the cross. We would be well advised to put all of our time and treasure into identifying with the sufferings of Christ! Even the disciples did not understand...but Mary did. See you soon!
