Hopes blood work came back...she has increased White Blood Cell count and fibrinogen, low protein, low electrolytes. At this point in her recovery, we do not like to give antibiotics or pain medication that might be hard on her tummy... however, given her pain level and the amount of inflammation in her skin, we (vet recommendation) will start her on some SMZs and some Previcox. We will watch her carefully. Although we do not think she is still pregnant, we have not ruled it out and will run a blood work for pregnancy.. however the lab does not run it daily or even weekly.. so it wont be until the 26th. Hope will need some continued veterinary care for a while until she is out of the woods. We had the vet write a report regarding Hopes condition and it will be forwarded to the City of Sultan as a professional opinion and report of Hopes status when she examined her. Vet bills probably take more out of our budget than anything besides hay. What we could use for Hope right now is veterinary dollars. Thanks for all that everyone has done. This is your girl...
