Horse Racing. Here is something simple that Keith and I use that requires placing bets about three to four minutes before the race. To place bets accurately and for a maximum return you need to download the Pro Betting Calculator, mobile phone or tablet (at the moment iOS). Use fixed odds market Suitable race, use race requirements previously mentioned: starters and distance. Exclude race where there is an odds-on favourite or one of your selections is odds-on Select four horses in a suitable race. Then five or four minutes before the race check the race prices (this is when professional and stable money are wagered) and select the three shortest priced horses. Example: Horse no1 $4.60, no 2 $5.90, no 3 $7.8, no 4 $12.0 The three shortest price horses are 1, 2, and 3. Now use the calculator. In “Set Amount Bet” enter an amount say $60 Then enter the odds $4.60 $5.90 $7.80 The amounts under “Bets Required” $25.50 $19.50 $15.00 There can only be one winner. First horse wins: $117.30 stake back plus a profit of$57.30 Second horse wins: $115.05 stake back plus profit of$55.05 Third horse wins: $117.00 stake back plus profit $57.00 So you can see you have three horses running for you in a race and only one selection has to win for you to win. The calculator can be used for one, two, three or four horse selections. All you have to do is pick the winner. The Pro Betting Calculator cannot pick winners: however the PBC puts the odds in your favour: you play the bookies at their own game. And that’s how it should be. Best of luck. Bet wisely and never bet above your means. Regards John Mac
