Horsham and District NCT Baby First Aid Courses! Booking now for 2nd November 2013 and 8th February 2014. The NCT has teamed up with the British Red Cross to offer you the chance to learn vital first aid skills that could one day save your child’s life. The content is specifically relevant to parents and carers of babies and pre-school children and covers topics that we know can be a worry for parents such as CPR, choking, burns, raised temperatures and an unconscious child. The courses are just two hours long; perfect for learning the simple procedures that you need in an emergency but short enough to fit into your busy schedule. For just £25 per person (or £45 per couple) you can book your place on a course. Concessionary rates are available for under 18s, students (under 22), parents receiving income support, income-based job seekers allowance, council tax benefit, housing benefit, employment and support allowance or working tax credit and also for parents with a yearly household income of less than £15,000. Just let me know if you qualify for a concessionary rate when you request a course. All bookings are treated in strictest confidence. The next dates that courses are planned for are: Saturday 2nd November 2013 10am-12pm - Farlington School, Horsham Saturday 2nd November 2013 2pm-4pm - Farlington School, Horsham Saturday 8th February 2014 10am-12pm -Barns Green Village Hall, Horsham Saturday 8th February 2014 2pm-4pm - Barns Green Village Hall, Horsham Courses are open for anyone to attend (mums, dads, grandparents, friends etc). There will be a maximum of 15 people per course. You do not need to be a member of the NCT to attend. Learn how to save a life! Non crawling babies are able to come although you may find it easier to concentrate if you can come without your little one. The courses have been kept to two hours so that you may be able to attend around feeds. We are more than happy for you to breastfeed/feed your baby too of course if you need to!
