Horton David Wayne Horton, 42, Altus died Monday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Bostic officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. He was born April 26, 1958 in Altus to Leonard William Horton and Essie V. (Lewis) Horton. He attended the Altus Public Schools, graduating from Altus High School in 1977. He served in the National Guard unit in Altus for several years. He owned and operated a lawn maintenance business in Altus. He enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Church of God in Christ in Altus. Survivors include three sisters, Onetta Willis and her husband Romie, Betty Madden and her husband Larry and May Horton all of Altus; three brothers, Nathaniel Gooden of Bakersfield, Calif., Oscar Jones, Jr. of Lawton, Leonard William Horton, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn of Pueblo, Colo. He is also survived by a special friend Valencia Brown of Iowa; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Juanita Brown RIP uncle David Rip Uncle Doug !!! gone but not forgotten
