Hospital bound tomorrow :( Finally agreeing to be tested for Lou Gehrigs Disease like my father had. ALS carries only about a 5.0% hereditary factor but I am unfortunately showing every single symptom of the disease and am becoming unable to take care of myself physically. My mind is 100% clear but my body is no longer able to function properly and completing easy, ordinary mundane, physical, tasks have become not only extremely difficult but my frustration level is through the roof being that I have been a man who has never had one ounce of physical quit in his body. The thing that is freakin me out the most is that my ability to swallow is becoming greatly affected. Meaning.... I dont want to eat any more but have to. I choke even drinking water sometimes. I am not saying these things for pity. God made me strong, therefore I do not want nor need pity. I however would like some understanding :) I still dream... I dream that one day people will learn the meaning of Mitakuye Oyasin ( Lakota Language for we are all related ) Very beautiful words...
