Hospitalist just phoned. George is doing ok ... says this numbers are better than he is looking ... he looks very sick ... having swallowing issues, but nurse Jim has been able to get the Parkinsons meds down, which doctor feels is priority ... his food will be pureed for now ... he is pretty unresponsive, doctor says encephalitic --- did I get that word correct, Anne Wigglesworth? means he has a lot of things going on to deal with that might affect his responsiveness ... antibiotics and fluids continue, and they are watching for pneumonia as he had started coughing the past few days before going to the hospital yesterday ... I plan to go see for myself tomorrow, but am also confident that this doctor is doing well by him and will keep me informed, too, and Dr.Ryan will be on duty through the weekend.
