March 15, 2014 MATT SHERWOOLD AND CLINT SUMMERS WIN THE STRAIT Record Entries and Record Payout San Antonio, TX....Matt Sherwood and Clint Summers have won the 32nd Annual George Strait Team Roping Classic at the Rose Palace in San Antonio. Sherwood and Summers both earned $132,900 in cash along with 2014 Chevrolet Dually pickup trucks from Cavendar Chevrolet of Boerne, Texas, Strait Xtreme trailers from Bruton trailers, championship saddles from Twister, buckles from Montana Silversmiths, Roping Bags from Resistol and Cactus ropes and Golf clubs from The Resort at Tapatio Springs. The winning time on three head was 16.79. Former champions Nick Sartan and Rich Skelton took 2nd place winning $53,160 each while 3rd place went to Arky Rogers and Wade Clayton with each earning $36,550. The 4th place winners were Manny Equisquiza and Shawn Harris, $33,225 each and 5th place winners Anthony Lucia and Wesley Johnson both pocketed $26,580. Cory Clark and Ben Gambrell took 6th place worth $19,935 each. Rance Gantt and Kyle Lawrence each earned $16,610 for 7th place while Bull Austin and Corey Hendrick earned $13,290 for 8th
