Houston, we have a problem..... This is not spending to defend our country. It is spending to maintain an empire. This is dumb, we cant afford it, its causing us more harm than benefit, and it has to stop. It WILL stop of course, the question is if we do it sensibly starting now or in a calamitous hurry when everything just collapses from inside. See recent history of what was called the Soviet Union for recent details, British Empire for slightly older, Roman Empire for even older ones. We know how this story ends. Are we stupid or are we not? wait dont answer that. (goes to get drink).
