How £1billion of your cash is being used to help Nigeria join the space race…A country so corrupt it would be better to burn our aid money!” Truth be told, I absolutely understand the British PM’s position. And this is it in a nutshell: ■Nigeria is spending millions to put a man into space – as Britain hands it more than £1billion in foreign aid. ■Oil-rich country has accepted £300million in aid this year alone but 70 per cent of the country live below the poverty line of £1.29 a day ■Nigeria sits on crude oil reserves estimated at 35 billion barrels (enough to fuel the entire world for more than a year) ■The £1.14billion Nigeria will receive is double the £500million set aside to support our struggling accident and emergency departments at our own hospitals ■We feed your public for you while you waste your money on all sorts ■Spend that money on your people where it’s most needed ■Leaders fritter the money away on ‘Ray-Ban sunglasses, apartments in Paris and Ferraris’ ■Millions of Nigerians are living in poverty, despite the country earning huge profits from its oil deposits ■Nigerian legislators earn the highest salaries in the world ■We might as well flush our cash away or burn it for all the good it’s doing for ordinary Nigerians If you’re honest, you will agree this makes absolute sense and is truth and fact. I really wish our government would dig up some pride and dignity, get upset at these international attacks and get their act together! Are they deaf to all these disparaging comments and policies?!
