How Can Our Accepted Basis for Good Be Untrue? Deception is the most effective way to get more from others than someone deserves; as “deserves” here means what a person receives as payment related to a commonly held sense about whats seen as just. Related to that is how deception is possibly the most effective means for carnivore survival; as carnivores creep, hide, stalk... then chase or dive on other animals so they can bite. Moreover, deception as a strategy is ironically required in every human sport. Please ponder how all of that would be related. Next lets see how deception dynamics operate in religion. Judaistic literature was never concerned with an objective use of reasoning skills being applied to known facts. That literature was created to serve social engineering goals/ambitions: First by establishing a psychological advantage over the public; Next to channel income to its caretakers—originally Jewish priests, later a Catholic clergy, and to what in Christianity has now become a variety of religious cowboys at home on their opportunistic range. Since Judaistic literature isnt true, because it originally had other objectives in mind than recording and conveying historical factualness, its ultimately not good for the human mind. For example: The belief that (1) you will live forever, or that (2) some Being that you can pray to is somehow in control, those two perceived positives arent worth anyone thinking that this world or Earth—i.e., potentially matter itself—is somehow corrupt because its carnal therefore not “spiritual,” which infers, as the New Testament repeats many times, that wealth is generally or intrinsically corrupt as well... which then infers that in exchange for anyone completely immersing and investing him or herself in the here and now (as all children growing up should learn to do) they ought to invest themselves in what would be life after death almost entirely... which of course implies that among any liberal giving coming from Christians that they would obviously dedicate a large percent of that to priests or clergy, or to a persons choice of todays religious cowboys (“cowboys” meaning those various preachers created by religious deregulation, better known as the Reformation). But those unhealthy parts that cancel out any good thats being offered by such a theological system dont stop there, as several more even get worse; as those above liabilities, with are integral to Christianity, go hand in hand with how you ought to become far more concerned about the end of the world—which time period Bible believers are always told is just about to commence, somehow continually for the past ten centuries plus—which end of the world would include most of your neighbors blood one day running down the streets as depicted in the Bibles final book (e.g., check Revelation 14:19-20). Which would imply the following to any careful and loyal believing persons general mental state: How you or they should learn to feel about all of those Satan-enslaved people out in the world, some of which would be your or their neighbors, who according to God need to have their blood spilled to set all things straight, which kinds of thoughts you would need to think were you trying to cultivate true love and admiration toward this God who is set to soon judge most in that very way—a judgment that to bring “perfect justice” is initiated by that kind of wholesale spilling of blood, all while “the first and the great commandment,” according to Jesus in Matthew 22:37-38, keep in mind, says to “love” that God “with all of your heat, and with all of you soul, and with all of your mind.” Therefore who cares about your neighbors when it comes to God finally getting everything straightened out? For you would now have only one goal, with such a mind-set, at least when it comes to your neighbors in relation to this: Convert them so they wont be eternally punished—all to primarily keep that income to a clergy churning. Thats a horrible mental state for a young person who is growing up to be encouraged to enter, an absolutely absurd curriculum to subject both yourself or any child to! To someone who is already angry at the world, that might seem called for or even feel like justice; but that hate of the world all too easily borders on mental illness. Surely there is a much better way to guide or rein in problematic human thinking without resorting to a belief system thats so checkered with those kinds of atrocious concepts! -DL
