How am I different from the colonial slave masters if I keep silence regarding the oppression of ONE marginalized Jamaican? I often observe how posts like these are quietly ignored. Many of my fellow beloved Jamaicans DARE NOT acknowledge the truth or identify with the call for love and tolerance for members of the LGBT Community! Why? It is risky. You could get accused or targeted or misunderstood or seen as an activist for LGBT persons. I wonder what would Jesus do. Well I am not really wondering. You who remain silent and distant.......what do you suppose Jesus the Christ, would do? In your SILENCE, you walk hand in hand with the priest, the rabbi, the holy - who pass by on the other side!
